STANDARD BALLROOMA subset of the International Style of Ballroom Dancing (aka. Standard Ballroom), includes the following five dances: Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango, and Viennese Waltz. Glide across with the dance floor with grace and charm!

INTERNATIONAL LATINInternational Latin includes the following five dances: Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble. Compared to the typical ballroom dance, Latin dances are generally faster-paced, more sensual, and have more rhythmic expression. It originated from South America, or Latin America.

STREET LATINStreet Latin refers to a more social dancing style, including Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, and Reggaeton. Originating from the Caribbean and Latin America, they are a series of partner dances (excluding Reggaeton), although there are recognized solo steps. Street Latin dances are extremely contagious and addictive which are growing in popularity throughout Australia.
ARGENTINE TANGOOriginating from Buenos Aires, the Argentine Tango is a more sensual and passionate form of the Tango dance, adapted to the Latin style. Think red roses, Bond movies, and a lot of mystery!

HIP-HOPHip hop is a dance style originating from the East Coast of the US around the 70's. The influx of new music (hip-hop) brought about a new style of dance. It has continued to evolve over the years, again developing with new styles of music. Urban, Breaking and Freestyle all have hip-hop as their origin.
SWINGA lively energetic dance that developed with the rise of jazz music in the first half of the 20th Century. Swing dancing is defined by its joyous and playful nature. We teach Lindy Hop and Charleston here at MUDC -- the two most common swing styles to get you ready for the social dance floor!
