EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
PORTFOLIO POSITIONS
EVENTS COORDINATOR | LILY GAO
Styles: Latin, Salsa, Bachata, Hip Hop & Jazz
Lily loves music and considers dancing such a fun way of musical engagement and expression. Having attended MUDC in-person regularly before graduating, the student club’s online classes also got her through the following year’s lockdowns. Lily believes that uni presents lots of opportunities and challenges, which really makes it the best time for trying new things. When not dancing you can find her reading books, dreaming about travelling to new places, or getting ready for the next movie marathon. |
EVENTS COORDINATOR | MICHAEL CAMPBELL
PERFORMANCE COORDINATOR | BI TRAN
PERFORMANCE COORDINATOR | GEORGIA GLOVER
IT OFFICER | CHARLOTTE JONES

Currently studying biomedical engineering, Charlotte is an adventurous soul who is always looking to try something new. She first joined MUDC in 2019 and enjoys most partner styles of dance from Ballroom and New Vogue, to Street Latin and Swing. When not dancing, Charlotte also enjoys bushwalking, travelling, reading, stand-up paddleboarding and spending time with her numerous pets. |
SALES & MARKETING ASSISTANT | XARA HUDSON
GENERAL COMMITTEE
GC | SAM HOFFMANN
Styles: Salsa, Bachata, Zouk & Reggaeton
After deciding robots were cool in high school, Sam travelled from Perth to Unimelb to Study Mechatronics with a side of Computing, which he is in his fourth year of. His dance experience consists of trying beginner classes for every style he can find and many years of energetically jumping around the house to loud music when no one is home. Sam enjoys trying new things (and dance styles), along with reading, hiking and robotics. |
GC | BOLOR JAMIYANDAGVA
Styles: Ballroom & Latin
Hey everyone! I’m Bolor and I’m from Ulaanbaatar (UB), Mongolia. Currently, I’m doing my Master of Education at the University of Melbourne. As an undergraduate student, I studied in Mongolia, Japan, Germany, and the U.S. I love travelling and have been to over 20 countries so far and I have recently found a new burgeoning interest in dancing. Ballroom and Latin are the ones I am most interested in at the moment. I hope to see you all in class. Let’s start dancing. |
GC | SHIRLEY MAO
Styles: Latin, Ballroom & Folk dance
I am currently in my third year of undergraduate commerce studies. I started dancing at the age of 5 and used to study ballet, folk dance, Latin dance. I started learning Latin dance at the age of 11, and I kept dancing even though I didn't have as much time to practice after high school. Outside of dance, I enjoy debating, cooking and playing with my cats. I am looking forward to dancing Latin and ballroom again this semester. |
GC | Stephan OEHLER

Styles: Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Ballroom & Latin
Stephan found his passion for dancing late in life - during his last two years at Uni, and he didn't join MUDC until he graduated from Uni in 2019. Luckily he is still a staff member teaching various courses for the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Learning Unit.
Stephan's main style is Salsa, which he has been doing for over four years, but he has also ventured into Bachata and Brazilian Samba and tried Zouk, Latin and Ballroom. You will probably find him at a dance or drumming class during the week when he is not marking essays or preparing for tutorials. You also will find him cycling everywhere - though he is not a cyclist - it's just convenient.
In his free time, Stephan loves learning languages, hiking, reading, meditating and socialising with friends. Before he started dancing, he used to be a big video game nerd and binge a lot of TV shows, but he does not have the time for it any more - though he still likes to talk about it sometimes.
If you want to nerd out about Dancing, Planes, Engineering, Math, Physics, Communication, Language and Reflecting on Life - Stephan is your man!

GC | SHINDY SENJAYA
GC | SARAF TATINEE
Styles: Bachata, Salsa, Contemporary & Bollywood/Bollyfusion
While being in her first year of BSc, Saraf couldn't be any further from being a science student. She chose to come to UniMelb because out of all her options, they had the most active dance and theatre groups. Having been a singer her whole life (she learned to sing before she learned to read) she wanted to try dancing in uni and has since been obsessed. Her favourite styles include a little bit of everything but mostly a lot of Bachata. |
